Summer Greetings from Walden Ridge Equestrian Centre! Our beautiful crop of second cut hay is in, our arena renovations are complete and our equine friends are certainly enjoying this beautiful weather!
We at Walden Ridge are proud to announce that on Saturday, September 8th we will be hosting our 1st Annual Ride/Walk for Alzheimer’s, in partnership with Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington.
This important fundraising event is open to boarders of Walden Ridge, their family, friends of Walden Ridge and Society staff who are coming together to raise funds that will directly support the many free services offered to those living in our community with Alzheimer’s, and their families. The event will see riders on horseback as well as family and friends who will join in the fun by walking in designated areas in support of Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Well behaved dogs on leashes are also welcome!

Date: Saturday, September 8th
Walden Ridge Equestrian Centre, 3074 Chilligo Road, Cambridge (once on site follow signs!)
Time: Registration opens at 9.00 am
Event Starts at 10.00 am and finishes at 11.30 am
BBQ immediately following, hosted by Walden Ridge
All participants will receive a t-shirt and all donations of $25 or more will receive a tax receipt
As well, there will be a silent auction as well as a small activity centre for kids, so everyone can join in the fun!
All participants MUST REGISTER to participate – this is easy!

We hope that we can count on your support, as we come together to help those living with Alzheimer’s. All money raised will go directly to local programmes and services which help people living with any type of dementia have their ‘best day’ possible, each day.

How long do we need to walk or ride?
Great question – you can walk for any length of time during our event – one lap around or 5 – it’s up to you – what’s important is that we are all coming together to support this important fundraising event for those living in our community with Alzheimer’s!
